Get involved in Northumberland Players, a progressive and engaging community theatre organization. Whether joining us as a member or as a volunteer with one of our upcoming theatre productions, or supporting us as a sponsor or donor, whichever role you choose, we will keep you informed about our activities and opportunities. A diverse active membership and volunteer base can make that happen. Find out more about all the ways you can get involved.
Members Have a Voice
Members have a voice in the operation of Northumberland Players, a vote at the Annual General Meeting in November, and invitations to members-only events. Your membership fee provides important on-going support for the day-to-day administration of the Players such as insurance for volunteers, communication costs, and general operating expenses.
Choose an Individual Membership for only $25, or a Family Membership, welcoming spouses and partners, and children and youth as non-voting members, for only $40.
To become a member, see Membership.
Volunteers will be the first to hear of opportunities to participate in all aspects of community theatre in Northumberland. Volunteers are encouraged to become paid members but this is not mandatory as we value your participation in so many aspects of our productions and activities. Complete a volunteer sign-up so that we have your permission to put your name, and how you would like to help, on the Volunteer List which is made available to producers. Your name stays on the list until you ask for it to be removed so you don’t have to call us every year. You will be called!

Donations and Sponsorship
Donors and Sponsors provide financial support for Northumberland Players. Most recently, your donations have helped to pay for the renovations of the stage entrance and washrooms at the Firehall Theatre. Now we are raising money to lay a good floor and to update the sound and lighting at the Firehall.
Serve on the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors manages the affairs of Northumberland Players. If you are a member interested in being part of the decision-making and management that keep the Players going forward, consider joining the Board of Directors.
