Summer Theatre Camp Begins!

Summer Theatre Camp starts on July 4, 2016.

At Summer Theatre Camp, children aged 4 through 15 explore their interests or extend their love of theatre and drama. From acting to lighting, improv to costumes, singing to stage management – we take campers through the entire process of mounting a production for friends and family.

Summer Theatre Camp is presented by Northumberland Players Youth Theatre. Many campers go on to perform in our annual Christmas show for children, such as A Charlie Brown Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, or this year’s production of The Jungle Book. Some also appear in child roles in regular productions such as Macbeth, The Secret Garden, or the upcoming Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat

The Staff

We are looking forward to a fantastic summer camp and want to introduce you to this year`s camp staff. Our talented and dynamic staff have specialized training in many different aspects of the performing arts – acting, music, dance, and technical direction – lighting, sound and stage management. Some of our staff are former campers and are in university studying theatre for their life’s work!  Kristy Bird, Lucy Walker, and Amy Scott all returning and a huge welcome to Kyler Tonkin.
