Northumberland Players’ production of Les Misérables was an outstanding success.

Based on Victor Hugo’s sweeping epic novel set in 19th century France, Les Misérables follows escaped convict, Jean Valjean, as he struggles for redemption and to raise his adopted daughter, Cosette. Throughout he is hunted by an unrelenting police inspector, Javert, whose only dream is to see Valjean behind bars once again. Les Misérables is a popular classic with countless anthems, a rigorous jolt of love, death, and revolutionary spirit, and a theme that illustrates that despite our circumstances we still have the power to change the course of our destiny.
